Warranty

Sealed Unit Warranty

Sealed units glazed into a Century Glass Ltd. PVC frame:
15 years for seal failures, including cost of material and labor.

Sealed units put into an existing window, not manufactured by Century Glass Ltd.:
10 years for seal failures, not including cost of material and labor.

Sealed units that are broken or cracked:
1 year from the date of installation. Breakage coverage is limited, as cracks can result from building movement, installation conditions, or insufficient expansion allowance rather than manufacturing defects. External factors such as films, coverings, stickers, or objects near the glass can also cause thermal stress and cracking. Some breakage may stem from unseen glass imperfections. All claims are assessed case by case to determine cause and eligibility.

Additional warranty information:
Sealed units in high heat or humidity are not covered under warranty. Stress from extreme heat may result from shading devices, furniture, films, or signs placed within two inches of the glass. Interior condensation indicates high home humidity and is not a defect; exterior condensation indicates strong insulation and is also not a defect. Scratches or abrasions from improper handling or cleaning are not covered under warranty.

PVC Warranty

White PVC components:
25 years against defects in material or workmanship. We warrant that white PVC components will not crack, warp, pit, corrode, peel, blister or suffer non-uniform fading or discoloration. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, components which are found in the manufacturer’s opinion to have defects.

Painted or stained PVC components:
10 years against peeling, flaking, or blistering. Warranty does not apply to fading or color change due to normal weather conditions. Warranty does not cover warping from heat buildup caused by dark window coverings or any other direct heat source placed to close to the window. PVC material painted by the customer after installation is void of all warranty.

Supply-only windows not installed by Century Glass Ltd.:
The above warranty applies to supply-only windows, however, warranty does not cover product affected by improper installation. Windows must be installed plumb, square, shimmed, and have sloped sills. Stock windows are not covered under warranty.

Hardware Warranty

Truth Inc. and Radisson Industries hardware products:
25 years against defects in materials and workmanship, and two years for labor. Broken hardware must be brought in to exchange for warranty. Defects commonly show up in the first several uses. Warranty does not extend to damage resulting from the customer’s failure to properly operate or care for the product, including products that have been worn out, misused, abused, altered, or used in a manner for which they are not intended. When closing the window, ensure the lock is down to properly seal the window to prevent bulb seal damage from drying out, which can cause lock failure.
